The Froggy Five Episode #016: When Michael was 21, his father, a deeply respected, and by all accounts "successful" businessman, died - broke. This left his mother without enough to even dig his father's grave. Fueled by this tragic event, Michael promised himself that no one in his family would ever feel the pain of being broke again. At 28, Michael started a franchise business where he rose to become the number one operator (out of 150 owners). Applying the systems and processes that were instrumental in his success as a franchise owner, Michael went on to start, buy, and sell seven businesses, eventually landing on real estate investing, which is his sole focus today. Today, with his family, he owns and operates 10 real estate-related businesses with a portfolio worth $40 Million. This includes a private equity real estate fund, where he helps create generational wealth for investors. Michael is also an Amazon Best Selling Author of the recently-released book, Empathetic Leadership which he co-authored with world renowned hostage negotiator, Chris Voss.
